Romper: Ted Baker c/o // Jacket: Blank NYC // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Heels: Charlotte Russe

When I went to the grand opening of the new Ted Baker store last week, I instantly fell in love with this black romper and its beautiful jeweled collar. I was actually joking around about how it’s the lazy girl’s best friend because it’s just one item to throw on an you have your whole outfit…including jewelry. I matched the collar with a similarly colored gunmetal purse and since I wanted the focal to point to be up top, I  kept my shoes nice and simple. This week is going to be absolutely insane for me with Miss Hawaii USA rehearsals (the pageant is on Sunday), a couple of appearances, and modeling in Honolulu Fashion Week so I’m not sure what my posting schedule will be like. If you’re not already, be sure to follow me on Snapchat @emmawo or on Instagram @emma_wo for lots of behind the scenes photos and video.

Bloomingdales Friends & Family Sale Picks

I almost can’t contain my excitement that Hawaii just got its first Bloomingdales at Ala Moana Center! I just checked out the store yesterday and it’s absolutely beautiful and seeing all the new brands and items made me realize just how much we were missing out on. While they’re not honoring the Friends & Family sale in-store (they are offering an amazing Loyallist points deal), you can still save 25% off almost everything online. I’ve rounded up my favorites above.

I also just saw that Bloomingdales is teaming up with Uber to offer shoppers a free ride to Bloomingdales Ala Moana Center tomorrow 11/14. Just open your Uber app, slide the BLOOMINGDALES option and request a ride — no promo code needed. Ride between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you will not be charged for your trip. Each ride will be taken directly to the entrance of Bloomingdales…and you know what that means — no parking! It’s the perfect time to cross your holiday gifts off your list early…happy shoppin

    Swim Spotted

Bikini: Reef via SwimSpot c/o // Sunnies: OPTX Eyewear // Necklace: Love Laola Boutique c/o

With my move to New York City fast approaching, I’m taking every last moment I can to hit the beach. It’s kind of one of those things I’ve always taken for granted with it being right in my backyard, but now that I’m moving I’m realizing that the beach, among other uniquely Hawaii things, is something I’m really going to miss. Today I wore my new SwimSpot bikini and I can’t wait to go pick up a few more when the Hawaii store opens tomorrow at Ala Moana Center’s new Ewa Wing. If you’re in the market for a new bikini, tomorrow is the day to go because the first 100 customers to arrive will receive a SwimSpot tote with a 20% off discount card. They will also be giving away some raffle prizes and holding an Instagram contest. I’ve included some of my favorite SwimSpot suits at the end of this post. The store opens its doors at 9:30 a.m….I’ll see you there!

    NYC to SFO

    DSC05384-650x440

I just got back home to Hawaii from traveling to New York City and San Francisco and I’m so happy to be home.  There’s nothing like that first meal and cuddling up in your own bed after hours spent in planes, trains and automobiles. I wasn’t able to snap too many photos in NYC because our main mission was apartment hunting which took up two full days and I’m happy to say it was a success! My parents and I probably saw almost 20 units and by the end we were so exhausted and they all started to look the same but we finally decided on one and it’s everything I was looking for and more. I’ll be sure to share a couple of photos once it’s decorated and I’m all settled in. After NYC we stopped in SF for one day to celebrate my oldest sister’s birthday and visit my one-year-old nephew. We went out for ribs on Sunday night and the next day, we gave a cleaned-off bone to my nephew and he was entertained for like an hour, it was the funniest thing. Tonight I’m off to the Ted Baker Ala Moana store opening and can’t wait to see the new setup. Hope you’re all off to an amazing week.

    Hualalai Travel Diary Part 2

I’m happy to report that the second half of our Kona getaway at the Four Seasons Hualalai was as blissful as the first. Each day started off with a seemingly endless breakfast buffet where I piled my plate high with no regrets. We actually headed to the snorkeling pond right after breakfast one morning and I was too full to even go in so I just had to lay on the lounge chair and watch Holden have all the fun. They did come around and spray my face with Evian though, so I called it even! That afternoon I headed to the spa to get a massage and it was heavenly. I’m not sure if it was the peaceful ambiance, my surprisingly strong massage therapist (for me, it’s the stronger the better when it comes to massages), or both but I left feeling on top of the world. They even had a relaxation pond to head to after any treatment where you could walk through it and the bottom of the pond was designed for foot reflexology. Yes please. When we had to leave, I cried a little bit inside, but promised myself that I’d be back sometime soon. If you’re in need of some R&R, this place is worth the splurge, trust me.

    Hualalai Travel Diary

Ahh, vacation. Is there anything better? This past weekend, Holden and I decided we wanted to catch a break from our crazy schedules and celebrate our three-year anniversary at the same time. I’d been to the Four Seasons Hualalai a couple of times before years ago and Holden has always wanted to stay there, so we decided to take advantage of the resort’s amazing Kamaaina special right now and just go for it. At first when we were planning this trip I wanted to rent a car so we could explore the island a little bit and get off the resort. But alas, H convinced me that we should just take it easy on property. I’m so glad he did because it was nice to just chill out by the pool, take walks on the beach, eat (a little too much) delicious food and just veg. H also worked out twice a day at the resort’s beautiful gym but I forgot to bring my gym clothes or shoes, so I think subconsciously my body was telling me no. Side note: H said they have the best trail mix he’s ever had. My favorite part about the pools — there are three lounging pools, a lap pool, and a snorkeling pond — is that they come around every hour with a special amenity like fresh pineapple, Halloween candy, an evian spritz or a small frozen cocktail at the adult pool. Our first night, we dined at Ulu Ocean Grill which was every bit as delicious as it looks in the photos — I highly recommend the lobster tails and the New York steak. I have so many more photos to share but this post was getting long so I’ll post those tomorrow. Hope you had an amazing weekend.

    Everyday Casual

Shirt: Rails // Jeans: Seven for All Mankind (similar here) // Heels: Charlotte Russe // Bag: F21 // Watch: Michael Kors

My typical morning routine includes waking up to the sound of my alarm, checking emails on my phone that may have come through overnight, and catching up on the latest news. If I don’t have any meetings or events on my calendar, you can bet you’ll find me in something casual like this plaid shirt and jeans combination I pulled together at the last minute to go grab some coffee at Brue Bar in Kakaako. This week is a special week since Holden and I are celebrating our third anniversary. Technically our anniversary was on Monday, but we decided to take a weekend trip to Kona to celebrate instead and I. cannot. wait. for strolls on the beach, spa treatments, and relaxing afternoons spent poolside. Have a great rest of your week!

    Tribal Style

Pants: Florencia Arias c/o // Top: Fighting Eel // Bag: She + Lo // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Watch: Michael Kors // Heels: Charlotte Russe

This past weekend flew by in an exciting but all too busy haze. Friday night I found myself jumping from Miss Hawaii appearance to fashion show to a party for a friend, then another fashion show on Saturday followed by cheering Holden on in a paddle tennis tournament (he won!). By Sunday, I was ready to slip into an outfit far more comfortable and these lotus tapered pants by Florencia Arias were the answer I was looking for. Easy, comfortable, and as casual as you want them to be — perfection.

    Favorite Fall Boots

With my upcoming move to NYC come January, I’ve had my eye on tons of cold-weather essentials including coats, sweaters, and the most exciting of all — boots! If you live in the continental US I know this might not seem all that exciting, but it’s one of the accessories you simply can’t wear in Hawaii without people staring at you like you’re crazy. I’ll be heading to NYC in early November to look for a place and I hear it’s already getting pretty chilly there so I thought now would be the perfect time to pick up a pair or two. Here are some of the boots I’m loving this season.
