I’m loving the cozy sweaters on the rack for early Spring, but in Hawaii the sweaters-jeans-and-cute-boots just doesn’t make as much sense as I’d like. So I’ve made it my mission to keep sweaters in the mix by pairing them with fun shorts and cutout booties. Hope you all had a nice long weekend!
Dress: Fighting Eel / Bag: Chloé / Heels: Zara / Bracelets: J. Crew, House of Harlow & Bauble Bar
You know when you find a song you love and listen to it on repeat every day until it eventually goes out of style? I have a feeling a similar king of thing is going down with me and this dress. There’s just not much you can’t wear it to, or with — chunky jewelry, maybe a bright bag for a pop of color or even with tights on colder nights. Special thanks to my boyfriend for the dress! Hope you all have a nice long weekend — mine will be filled with friends, farmers markets, and hopefully seeing American Hustle (finally!).
Awards season is finally here and I don’t know about you but I’m pretty sure I enjoy the red carpet portion of award shows much more than the shows themselves. There’s something about the anticipation of seeing what my favorite actors and actresses will wear, the unexpected pleasant surprise gowns, and the ‘what was she wearing’ gowns too. Here are my favorites…what were yours?
Sweater: Vince / Shorts and Clutch: F21 / Watch: Michael Kors / Necklace: Stella & Dot / Sunnies: Ray Ban / Sandals: Isabel Marant
Sometimes I just feel like keeping it casual. In fact, I think this might be the first time I haven’t worn heels in one of my posts. I absolutely love this sweater because it finds that perfect mix of classic and edgy, and is super-soft! Off to work now, hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.
Top: F21 / Skirt & Necklace: Express / Heels: Saint Laurent / Watch: Michael Kors / Sunnies: Karen Walker
It’s been a little rainy the past few days, so today I decided to throw a pop of color into the mix. I love when clothing incorporates subtle surprises like cutouts and mesh panels, and that’s why my favorite part about this top is the sheer panel on the back. And since I paired two solid colors up top, I chose a pair of heels that had a little more detail. These Saint Laurent heels are from a few years ago, but I love rediscovering old favorites like these that somehow get lost in the chaos that is my closet.
Jumpsuit: Rules of Etiquette / Clutch: Michael Kors / Heels: Schutz / Necklaces: J. Crew & Bauble Bar
What’s not to love about jumpsuits? They’re chic, comfortable, and super easy to throw on without a whole lot of matching to do (especially when they come in my favorite color…black!). I paired mine with metallic gold lace-up booties, layered necklaces and a clutch to go out to a few New Year’s parties. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Perfect outfit for a night on the town…
Top: Joie / Shorts and Heels: F21, heels here / Necklace and Bangle: Bauble Bar
Happy New Year everyone! My NYE began with a few family parties, then we went out to a Speakeasy-themed party in Waikiki. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately, so I kept it to just one glass of champagne and we headed home around 12:15! I decided to go for gold in my New Year’s Eve look this year, rocking these sequin F21 shorts and metallic gold pumps for a fun an easy look. I bought these pumps with NYE in mind, but I’m actually pretty excited to wear them all year long — I can already picture them toned down with jeans and a slouchy T-shirt or dressed up with any little black dress. Wishing you all a fabulous start to 2014.
Score! Bauble Bar is having a New Year Blowout Bash sale and here are my favorite pieces, sale on the left, brand new on the right. This online shop is one of my all-time faves for three reasons — it’s affordable, they have free shipping and returns, and it’s perfect for gift giving. When I do choose to splurge on fashion, I usually stick to bags, classic heels, and fine jewels–but for trendy items, it’s Bauble Bar all the way. Which are your favorites?

Top: BCBG / Sunnies: Ray Ban / Bag: Louis Vuitton / Jeans: Current/Elliot / Heels: Sam Edelman
There’s nothing quite like the classic combination of black and white — but I had to give it a fun twist, of course, with my mirrored blue Ray Bans. My parents gave me this lovely BCBG top for Christmas and I absolutely love it because it will go with everything — colored jeans, printed shorts, neon bags, you name it. What did you all get for Christmas? Let me know on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
