One of my favorite things about the holidays is getting to dress up for all of the festive parties. And while traditional holiday attire calls for red, green, and metallics, I tend to think that all jewel tones are fair holiday game, like this teal jumpsuit. I had two holiday parties this weekend, a date night with my man, some last minute Christmas shopping, and lots and lots of watching the TV show Scandal. Here’s hoping I’ll finally get my life back when I run out of episodes of that show! Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Since it’s my fashion New Year’s resolution to wear more color, I threw on this electric blue skirt this weekend for an easy day-to-night look. This weekend was pretty low-key — lots of sleeping in, eating take out Japanese food and getting completely sucked in by the TV show Scandal. If you’ve never watched the show, don’t do it unless you’ve got lots of time to spare…it’s completely addicting. Hope you had an amazing weekend!

The funny thing about fashion blogging is that you end up learning so much about your own personal style throughout the process. It’s an ironic kind of self reflection that I’ve come to love. In my head, I wear tons of color all the time. After going through a few pages of my blog, I realize that I am completely wrong and that I stray way more toward black and neutrals. In my head I also think I wear tons of different pieces and never repeat. In reality, I’m a creature of comfort when it comes to fashion and I think I’ve only displayed about one thirtieth of my closet. I think I just found two fashionable new year’s resolutions: more color, more variety. What are your fashionable resolutions? Let met know on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!

I love a good high-low skirt, especially one that’s made out of crazy soft jersey material. It’s so versatile–pair it with a slouchy white t-shirt and flat sandals for a day look, or a crop top and booties at night. It’s been a crazy week but I’m happy to say that this is my first blog post written from my new MacBook air. My other one died on me and this is my early Christmas present from Holden. Hooray!! Hope you’re all having a nice Tuesday.

One of the things I love about shopping while traveling is that each time I wear something I bought, it brings me right back to the place I bought it. I picked up this dress in Seoul, Korea (man I miss that place) while shopping on Meyongdong Street, and I splurged on this Balenciaga bag at Barney’s in Las Vegas. This dress is simple in the front and party in the back, but I think it could easily transition from day (maybe with a blazer or leather jacket) to night. Hope you all enjoy your Friday night!

It’s officially December and I’m loving it. Even though it doesn’t get cold here, there’s still something so magical about the month of December. I plan to get into the holiday spirit by busting out by sequins, metallics and wine-hued dresses (like this Olivaceous dress I bought last week), buying and wrapping presents for all of the special people in my life, and drinking hot chocolate and pumpkin spice lattes any chance I get. Happy December!

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned what I do for a living before, but I’m actually an account executive at a PR firm here in Honolulu and I model and blog on the side for fun. To keep my spending in check, I’ve made it a rule that I’m only allowed to shop as much as I make via modeling, and my salary must be spent on necessities or saved. I got this clutch today with my modeling money and it was love at first sight. The color makes it super versatile, but the studs give it just the right amount of edge. Plus, it’s oversized, meaning it can actually fit all of my things (yay!). Hope you’re all having a great day.
